Day 62, Song 82

The Honey Drippers

Impeach the President

The Honey Drippers were a group of high school students from Jamaica High School in Jamaica, Queens.

Roy Charles Hammond, also known as Roy C, wrote this song for the Honey Drippers in 1973. The song, which was a reaction to the ongoing Watergate scandal, would later be sampled by numerous artists, including Wu Tang Clan, Janet Jackson, and LL Cool J.
